Suttonsigloo.blogspot.com

Just finished reading an old blog that I forgot that I had. I am in tears. It was about my pregnancy with Braden and how God brought us through. I was showing Brady one of his sono pics. He said, "I all burned.", pointing to the black background. I told him that he wasn't burned that he was inside my tummy. He was upset! "I not in your tummy, I here!" I said, "No you were hiding in my tummy waiting to say, "Hi!" Well that didn't help! He puffed, "I no hide in there!" and walked off. So much for my Hallmark moment.
Its unbelievable how God watched over Braden, but we lost Naomi. In reality, I can't say I miss her because everything happen so quick, but I miss what could of been. All my life I wanted a house full of kids. I am not bitter, I wished it were different and Naomi was still here growing in my tummy. There's nothing like the feeling of life growing and learning inside you. I am so thankful God gave me that time with Braden. Some things we just have to accept as God's sovereign will and move on.
At first I didn't want to try again, but this has made my desire for another child so strong. Our little family just can't go through this again. Weeks of knowing that at any moment our unborn child was dying. Weeks of waiting for it to happen. Unsure what to do and what God would have us to do. We struggled.
And while I trust God, sometimes I question why couldn't he have just taken her and not put our family through so much. In all things I trust him!

Arrgh! My Wittle Pirate!

Ever since watching Bob the Builder, Brady has been crazy over Pirates. He is so cute and so funny with it, but yesterday took the cake! (Southern for "He out did himself!") I kept hearing him say, "Arrgh! I'm a Pirate!" Bobby yelled to me to come see. As I turned the corner, "What did my wondering eyes see?" Braden wearing a t-shirt, diaper, belt, and a pair of bright yellow fireman rain boots. Cute but, "big deal" right? Well sticking out from inside his diaper was his red recorder that I had bought him for school. (Its a musical instrument that has a mouthpiece to blow in.) He was using it as a telescope. However when I notice that the mouthpiece was inside his DIAPER I about puked! So now we have a very sad Pirate and a very sterilized recorder!!!!!! Argh! Looks like I'm the Pirate now!!!!!!!!

Water! Water! Wherefore art thou Water?

It's Monday and we have been out of water since Saturday Night! Ughh! For those who my not know, our water is brought to us in water tank trunks. We get service twice a week. Today is one of those days, but when we never know! Apparently while we were gone the cover for the overflow valve blew off causing the top layer of water to freeze. So when we got delivery last week the guy thought we where full when actually we got only water from the frozen layer to the top. Which was very little. (I think that is how it happened.) I have been washing clothes like a mad woman thinking we had plenty of water. OOPS!
So now Bobby has gone and paid 75 cents to fill our water cooler. We have smaller jugs for the bathroom that we use to brush our teeth and wash off. Lovely!
Because of the water situation I have decided that Brady and I will sleep late today. Well never mind! here he comes! "Mommy, where's my daddy?", Braden says in his best Shirley Temple voice. I say, "He's at work!" Then Braden says, "That daddy at work again!" "Yes son and we thank God we have a daddy who goes to work!", I reply. Braden grabs me in a big hug and says, "I love my daddy!". Aweee!
After making him strawberry and eggs for breakfast, cleaning as much I could without water, getting dressed and changing the kid, I am now ready to finish this post. (Maybe.)
Strawberry and eggs, you ask? Braden was watching Max and Ruby on TV. Max wanted strawberries, so then Braden wanted strawberries. I happened to have a small container of them so I gave Braden some. He ate all but three. Sorry daddy!
Oh well! Have a great day and pray I get water TODAY!

Just Chillen! (For real!)

We are in Bama and its COLD!!!!!!!! Can you believe?
Bobby and Braden went to the Sale Barn with Granddaddy. I do not know who is more excited, Bobby or Braden. It's a man thing! Bobby loves taking his son to the Sale Barn. Braden kept saying, "Come on daaaaaaaaaaad!" So funny!
However the most eventful thing for Bobby is .... (Drum Roll ...) Nesmith Hamburgers! It has been a childhood tradition for him, The are a Mom & Pop place. They actually make their burgers from scratch. No freezer patties! Yumscious! Nesmith's is in the middle of town and people sit around talking about the weather, politics, relatives ,,, LOL! I really enjoyed our last visit, but today is a MAN day!!!!

I am staying home today and working on homeschool stuff. I want to make sure I have everything I need before we go back to Bethel. (Saving on shipping.) I think I am going with the abcjesuslovesme curriculum. The Duggars use it and they have curriculum for 2yr olds. I really liked what I read. Its free to print from your computer or you can purchase the books and worksheets. I think I am going to get the books. (Save on ink). I love that they have books of the week! Read, read, read, to your kids!

The Lakehouse is an older house at the end of a caul de sac (Not sure of the spelling). Our backyard is the lake. It is pretty cool. Three bedrooms. One bedroom has two windows that face the lake. It is so cool to wake up to the birds flying over the lake in the mornings. There is a grill on the patio and we have been using the fire (Ha!) out of it! I love to sit on our sun porch and watch the ducks on the lake. Braden told Bobby we needed to buy the house! I agree. It's not for sale, but there is one down the street ....

Funny story: We were with some relatives and they were talking about another relative who was so upset because their toddler is saying something very offensive he got off TV. I was really sympathetic recalling in my mind the **** incident with Braden. I kept waiting for the word to come out, ,,, Here is the offensive word and action. "Rockstar". The kid says he wants to be a rockstar and he starts dancing. I was mortified!!! Afraid any minute Braden was gonna jump up and say, "Mommy and Daddy, its time to dance!" Offending our host and hostess. LOL! Braden and I dance all the time at the house. He's a regular jiggle monster! Can't dance worth a penney, but he does it with all his heart and I don't see a thing wrong with it. He and I have had the best bonding moments. Why do we think God wants to take all the beauty out of life for us? Brady's giggles at how silly we are make me smile long after the song is gone! Enjoy life! God is not holding a hammer over us ready to pop! He loves us and wants us to enjoy life!
So if you have the chance ,,,, I hope you dance!

New Look!

I really like it!
We realized today that we hadn't been to the Post Office all week!!! On Saturdays you have to get there by two or it is all locked down for the weekend!
The weather has warmed up. Last I heard it was 28, with windchill making it right at 0! We feel like we have had a heatwave! The wind is blowing hard and we are undre a blizzard warning. believe me I'd rather a blizzard warning than a tornado warning any day! Other than the wind it really doesn't look very bad out there. I haven't been anywhere except home and the hospital for the last couple of weeks.
Braden and I were suppose to leave for Bama last Wednesday, but we didn't think it would be safe for me to travel alone with Braden right now. I just thought this would be over with soon.
All of us are scheduled to leave Friday, but we will see. I am very homesick.
We have rented a lovely Lakehouse and I am so looking forward to having help with Braden so that I can rest. Can't wait to take him to the zoo! He told me today that he was riding a donkey! (Those Sutton men!)

Waiting ...

So here we area month since I found out the I was pregnant again and then realized it was not a "viable" pregnancy. They know I am pregnant, but can't find the baby. The doctors believe it is in my tubes, which is leaving me with two choices, none of which I want to make. The longer I wait for a natural miscarriage the riskier it gets.
To be honest, though I am a christian, I am getting pretty sick of "religous" people. I feel the Lord told me from the beginning that something was wrong and that he would help me through it. I feel like I have accepted God's will. I am not denying God can do the impossible, I just know what he spoke in my heart.
My body is swelling and itching and I feel so tired. We had an evangelist staying with us last week of all things. It was very hard for me. He needed his clothes washed and ironed. Poor! Made me so thankful for my mother-inlaw teaching Bobby to help out. When my doctor heard what all I was doing she put me on modified bedrest. I can take care of myself and Braden, but other than that I need rest. (She knew full bedrest would not work.)
My blood pressure, which has been low is no high so it just feels like my whole world is spinning upside down. I am amazed at the insensitivity of people. We have no running water at church and knowing that at any moment I will miscarry there is no way I was going to the revival. My hormones are shot and I just feel like my world is spinning upside down. this the worst thing I have ever been through in my life, but I feel stronger than ever before. Funny? HUh?
Bobby is trying to catch everything up at work so we can visit our family and he struggles with being with me at the doctors or catching up on work. I say we know what the inevitable is, and we don't need him to be fired, plus I am ill as a hornet, just go to work! LOL!
Just praying that God will intervene soon. Sorry if I sound so rambly, but its a rambly time right now.
